Explore the town and its dangerous surroundings, meet its quirky inhabitants, solve puzzles and master minigames. Accompany Lucy on her adventure to get to the bottom of what is haunting the strange Silentown… if you dare. Thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. Well written characters puzzles that are challenging but not impossible. Has a similar vibe to Fran Bow, though not at all gory or violent, which fits the tone of this game very well.
Children of Silentown Pre-Installed:
I was worried that the game would end too soon, but it was the perfect length for the story it wanted to tell. I was also worried the plot would become contrived and preachy, using certain characters as strawmen to shove in a particular message like too many games these days. Thankfully, my fears were unfounded. Characters are well rounded, and have reasons for how they act. Apart from a handful of cheesy quips, dialog is well written and serves to move the story along. If you are a fan of point and click games with these art styles I think you might enjoy this.
