Ever wanted to be the next Steve Jobs but have no idea how to design computer software/hardware? Unlike many in the game/computer tycoon genre, you start from the ground up in the mid 70’s to the future. This product offers insight in the historical legacy of computer design as well as it’s geopolitical and economic effects of the industry. Did I mention that it’s developed by just one person? This is a project of love and admiration for the history of computers, and the developer is engaged with the community to make it the best possible game on the market. What’s the real-time equivalent to “just one more turn”? Yeah, that sentiment applies to this game. It is unfortunate that that there are some inaccuracies on the 1974 world map, but otherwise this game is nearly perfect. (there was only one Sudan in 1974, and Burkina Faso was known by its French colonial name Upper Volta until the 1983 coup that brought Thomas Sankara to power).A lot of the game doesn’t make sense at its current version (Feb 2022). For example, having multiple products doesn’t really work as the newest product effectively takes over as sole income source trumping previous (even if similarly dated or outperforming). This is inherently flawed since people own smartphones laptops and desktops simultaneously. So effectively you can only really design one thing at a time and release.
